Jazz legend Buddy Greco is auctioning the last ever photos of screen icon Marilyn Monroe.
The four ultra-rare pictures of the Some Like It Hot star at the Cal Neva resort in Nevada were taken just five days before her controversial death in August 1962, reports The Independent.
Out of shot, a tanned Frank Sinatra is looking on.
The pictures were taken as Monroe relaxed at Lake Tahoe where Greco and Sinatra were performing. Only six survive from an original 36 – the others were kept in a vault in the World Trade Center and were destroyed in the 9/11 attack – and Greco has just put them up for sale.
They are expected to raise many thousands of pounds.
Greco has put the prints - four of Monroe and two of Sinatra - up for auction, with a starting bid of 7,500 dollars.
Monroe died from an overdose of barbiturates. (ANI)
