Britain''s Got Talent''s star Susan Boyle reportedly turned down the chance to meet US President Barack Obama at a star-studded party and instead stayed at home and washed her hair.
The 48-year-old, who had wooed all with her jaw-dropping performance of the Les Misérables song ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ on the talent show, had allegedly been invited to the prestigious annual Correspondents Dinner which took place in Washington DC.
The church volunteer from Scotland was said to be too nervous to take up the offer to be in the presence of the President and other high profilers at the five-star Hilton Hotel.
"She was shocked and thrilled by the invite - but it was all too much too soon for her so she said No," News of the World quoted a source as saying.
"She has been told President Obama has seen clips of her on TV and loved her singing. And she is delighted.
"But instead she''ll have no doubt stayed in with her cat Pebbles, washed her hair and watched Britain''s Got Talent on telly," the source added.
The source continued: "She knows she would have been incredibly nervous if she''d gone. But her dream is to sing for President Obama one day. She loves him and thinks he is already a terrific president." (ANI)
